Mark
Hodgson, a jazz trumpet child prodigy, was born in Yorkshire, England.
He received his education in Cheshire and attended the internationally
renown Leeds School of Music. Leeds College of Music is the
largest music college in Britain and covers a curriculum that include
classical music, jazz, contemporary music, popular music, composition,
arranging and music technology/production. The college's
international reputation in the fields of performance, music technology,
critical musicology and composition is unrivaled.
During the last twenty
years, Mark has honed and refined his skills, working constantly with
musicians throughout the world too numerous to mention. Mark has taught
prestigious masterclasses internationally and a new generation of
upcoming musicians have benefited from his skills. He is well-known as a
musician, composer, orchestrator and educator.
Mark has created many compositions, performed throughout the world at
well-known venues and arranged music for a wide variety of musicians and
performers. Mark is also known as an experienced and valuable session
musician.
Mark divides his time between the UK, Florida and Bali.
